The Department of Horticulture celebrated the 100th edition of the Cubbon Walks programme with a free Anniversary Walk at Cubbon Park on 28 July 2026.
Launched on 27 July 2025, the initiative promotes awareness of the park’s rich flora and biodiversity through guided weekend walks in Kannada and English. So far, 1,852 participants have taken part in the programme. The anniversary event, organised with The Naturalist School, Bengaluru, featured expert naturalist guides, participation from horticulture officials and nature enthusiasts, and concluded with the distribution of flowering plants.
Officials encouraged the public to register for future walks through the Department of Horticulture’s website.
