Inauguration of Ambaari Utsav Bus

Vice Chairman, KSRTC inaugurated 20 Ambaari Utsav sleeper buses.
Additionally, temporary deputation orders for Driver-cum-Conductors were distributed to 82 candidates who scored in the Driving test conducted at the Humnabad Training Center. These candidates scored 50/50, 49/50, and 48/50 marks out of a total of 1406 candidates. Symbolically, temporary deputation orders were handed over to 14 candidates.

  •  The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) provides transportation services to 35.43 lakh passengers daily through 8,896 vehicles by operating 8,063 schedules, covering 28.76 lakh kilometers. Of
    these, 17% of the services are dedicated to students.
  • The Government has approved addition of 5,800 new buses to the state transport Corporations, of which 4,301 buses have been added across four Corporations in the last year.
  • The Government has also granted permission for the recruitment of 9,000 posts across four Corporations and 2144 drivers, conductors, and technical staff have been recruited till now. The recruitment process for
    6,856 positions will be completed soon.
  • Under the Shakti Scheme, 356.00 crore women have traveled on Karnataka State transport vehicles, with a zero-ticket value of ₹8598.23 crore. The proportion of women passengers stands at 58.37%. Prior to the implementation of the Shakti Scheme, an average of 82.51 Lakh passengers traveled daily on vehicles of the four Corporations, which has now increased to 108.70 Lakh.
  • During last year 1004 dependents of deceased employees are appointed on compassionate grounds.
  • Sarige Suraksha Rs. 1 Crore Accident Insurance Relief Scheme: Under this Scheme, dependents of 22 deceased employees were given ₹1 crore each who die in an accident while on duty or off-duty and have provided with Rs.22 crore compensation.
  • Employee Family Welfare Relief Scheme: ₹8.10 crore has been distributed to the dependents of 81 employees who passed away due to heart attacks, cancer, strokes, or other causes under the Employee Family Welfare Relief Scheme (₹10 lakh each).
  • “Saarige Vidya Chethana’’ Scholarship Initiative: Under the ‘Saarige Vidya Chethana’ initiative, scholarships are being provided to the children of KSRTC staff under the education assistance fund. Scholarships worth ₹3.05 crore have been awarded to 6,083 beneficiaries for the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25, and this initiative is in progress.
  • Awards received by the Corporation: 112 national and international awards have been received by the State Road Transport Corporations during the last one year.

Key Features of the New Buses:

  • This vehicle is 15 meters long and it is equipped with 40 berths arranged in a 2×1 configuration for passenger sleeping.
  •  Powerful halogen headlights and daytime running lights (DRL) with new plush interiors and Scandinavian-style exteriors, offering visually appealing aesthetics.
  •  Aerodynamic design providing better fuel efficiency. Advanced engine technology, delivering superior performance and improved fuel efficiency (KMPL).
  • Windshield glass is 9.5% wider, improving driver visibility and reducing blind spots.
  • Equipped with next-generation mobile charging points like USB and C- type.
  • Enhanced air conditioning system due to a larger AC duct. Premium experience and comfort for passengers with high-quality seats and materials. Panto-graphic design, making vehicle maintenance easier.
  • Rear fog lights for improved safety during night-time driving. Easy-to- reach driver controls and switches for greater driver convenience.
  • Fire Detection and Suppression System (FDSS) installed for increased passenger safety during emergencies.
  • Drivers can easily view pedestrians from passenger door, enhancing pedestrian safety.
