BMW India has opened bookings for the new BMW i5 Long Wheelbase, its first locally produced electric sedan, manufactured at BMW Group Plant Chennai. The luxury EV offers a spacious 3,105 mm wheelbase, 268 hp electric motor, 81.6 kWh battery and a range of up to 669 km (MIDC), accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Designed for Indian roads, it features adaptive rear-axle air suspension and enhanced ground clearance. BMW is also introducing an exclusive First Edition limited to 99 customers, featuring premium interior finishes, rear-seat entertainment and distinctive Carbon Black Metallic and Titanium Bronze styling.
