HIROSHIMA DAY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR SCHOOL CHILDRENS IN BANGALORE


Bengaluru — On August 6, the Art Cultural Educational Enlight Foundation (R) organised a peace campaign under the banner “No War, Need Peace” at RKS Educational Society (R) School in Jayanagar to mark Hiroshima Day. The programme sought to sensitise students to the horrors of war and the importance of nature conservation. Chief guests for the event were Shri N. Laxmikant, BJP President of Padmanabhanagar Assembly Constituency; Aditya S., an expert in nuclear physics and technology; and Venkatesh Murthy, principal of RKS School. Teaching staff also participated in the programme. Speakers conveyed a clear message that the world needs peace, that environmental stewardship is essential, and that the devastation of Hiroshima must never be repeated. The event included speeches and awareness activities aimed at engaging schoolchildren in conversations about peace and conservation.
