Trishul 2.0: Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow!

The Think India Committee of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics hosted its much- awaited flagship event, Trishul 2.0, which unfolded in all its glory on February 4, 2025.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s conclave aimed to empower the youth and spark transformative discussions on leadership, entrepreneurship, and social change.
The event began with a traditional Aarti led by Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, Principal of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, and Prof. Charvi Gada, faculty-in-charge of Think India HRC. This was followed by Ganesh Vandana, setting a reverent and inspiring tone for the day.

A Vision Beyond Conversations
A problem seen but left unsolved is a missed opportunity, and Trishul 2.0 ensures that doesn’t happen!
In her address, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani emphasized that Trishul is more than just an event—it is a vision for change. Built on three strong pillars—identifying real-world problems, fostering critical thought, and driving action—Trishul 2.0 is designed to transform ideas into impact. She encouraged students to challenge the status quo, take initiative, and become proactive problem-solvers.
Echoing this sentiment, Prof. Charvi Gada commended the dedication and teamwork that brought Trishul 2.0 to life. She underscored the importance of perseverance and initiative in driving meaningful change, urging students to push boundaries and lead with purpose.

Theme and Key Discussions
This year’s theme, ‘Youth of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow: Vision, Venture, and Impact,’ underscored the pivotal role of young minds in driving innovation, leading with confidence, and making a lasting impact on society. The event emphasized bold ideas, strategic thinking, and proactive leadership, ensuring that students gained not just theoretical knowledge but also the mentorship and strategies needed to turn their ideas into reality.
Designed to bridge the gap between aspiring students and accomplished industry experts, Trishul 2.0 fostered insightful discussions, interactive sessions, and thought-provoking exchanges. By facilitating meaningful dialogue and collaboration, the conclave aimed to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the tools necessary to shape a better future.
The first session featured Mr. Raul Handa, Founder of The Forttuna Group, a visionary entrepreneur and global business strategist. As a Forbes Business Council member, TEDx speaker, and consultant at Stanford Seed, he provided key insights on identifying market gaps, overcoming business challenges, and scaling ventures effectively. His expertise in AI and emerging technologies made his session particularly relevant for young innovators.
The second session welcomed Ms. Devangana Mishra, Founder of Brain Bristle, a passionate advocate for inclusive education and autism awareness. A Columbia University graduate with a dual Master’s in Autism and Intellectual Disabilities, she has worked with leading educational institutions to develop mindfulness-based curriculums and shape inclusive learning models. Her session highlighted policy reforms, social entrepreneurship,
and strategies for making education accessible to all. Both speakers were felicitated in appreciation of their contributions.

Beyond the Event: Social Impact Initiative
Trishul 2.0 also spotlighted ‘Sakhi,’ a Sanitary Napkin Distribution Drive initiated by Think India HRC. Dedicated to improving menstrual hygiene for underprivileged women, the initiative not only distributes reusable sanitary napkins but also conducts Menstrual Hygiene Management sessions to empower women with essential knowledge.
Last year, the drive successfully distributed 100 reusable sanitary napkins at Colaba Municipal Secondary School, positively impacting the lives of many young girls. This year, the initiative aims to expand its reach and create an even greater social impact.

A Memorable Conclusion
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished speakers, faculty members, and the dedicated Trishul 2.0 team for their unwavering efforts. To mark the end of an inspiring day, attendees gathered for high tea, reflecting on the insightful discussions and leaving with a renewed sense of purpose.
Trishul 2.0 was not just an event; it was a movement to shape future leaders, drive innovation, and inspire change—a testament to the power of youth-led transformation.
