State-Level Blind Chess Championship 2026 Successfully Conducted in Bengaluru
The EyeSahai Foundation, in association with KSCAVC, on the occasion of the 135th Ambedkar Jayanti, successfully organized the State-Level Blind Chess Championship 2026 on April 11th and 12th, 2026 at Mudaliar Sangham, Osborne Road, Bengaluru.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 125 visually challenged players representing various districts across Karnataka, making it a remarkable platform for showcasing talent and determination.


Mr. Shivashankar, Chairperson, and Mr. Yogesh, President of EyeSahai Foundation, expressed their gratitude and stated that the event was organized with the support and encouragement of Shri Rizwan Arshad, MLA, Shivajinagar Constituency. They highlighted that this initiative was conducted for the first time in Bengaluru with the aim of creating opportunities for grassroots-level visually impaired talent to compete and excel.

The event was graced by distinguished guest Shri Basavaraj Shankar Umrani (commonly known as “Human Computer”) along with delegates Shri Mavalli Shankar, Shri Krishnegowdru, Shri Kamaraja, Smt. Sumatha, Shri Subbu Oliyar, Shri Narasimha Murthy, Smt. Indhira Muralidhar, Shri Dev Das, Shri Inayath, Shri Shanmugam, Shri Anil, Shri Amit, Shri Ismail, Shri Gajendra, Shri Ramesh, Shri Gangadhar, Shri Anand Raj, Shri Krishnamurthy, Shri Peddanna, Shri Ramanna, Shri Somashekar, Shri Harish, Shri Khadar Bhai, Shri Lakshmi Narayan, Shri Nagaraj, Shri Ataulla, Shri Basavaraj, and Shri Jagannath. All dignitaries extended their best wishes and encouragement to the participants.
