Implementation of Biofuel Policy Can Attract Over ₹1 Lakh Crore Investment in Karnataka: S.E. Sudhindra

The implementation of the Biofuel Policy in Karnataka can potentially attract over ₹1 lakh crore investment in the state in the next five years, said S.E. Sudhindra, Chairman, Karnataka State Biofuel Development Board.
Sudhindra presented a report on the biofuel action plan and his one-year tenure as Chairman to Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the Vidhana Soudha. He highlighted the vast opportunities in the biofuel sector in Karnataka and emphasized the need for a new biofuel policy to attract investors.
“If approved by the government, the policy will provide incentives, subsidies, and infrastructure support to production units, enabling us to attract ₹1 lakh crore investment in the next five years” Sudhindra said.
D.K. Shivakumar responded positively, assuring that the government would support the growth of the biofuel sector and take steps to approve the new policy. “The government will provide all necessary support at every stage to promote the biofuel sector” he said.
