Bangalore, June 26;Sahakara Ratna, Lions Dr. BM Umesh Kumar has been appointed as the President of Bengaluru Jayanagar unit of the Lions Club organization which is engaged in the service of humanitarian concerns at the international level. Former District Governor Lion S. Nagaraja Rao administered the oath to Dr. BM Umesh Kumar at the swearing-in ceremony held at City Institute, Chamarajpet, Bangalore.

Dr. Umesh Kumar, a stalwart in public service initiatives over the years, expressed his commitment upon assuming office, stating, "During our tenure, we aim to conduct a wide array of public service programs under the auspices of our organization. Our focus will be on initiatives such as school development, support for elderly care homes, blood donation drives, health camps, and fostering hope within our community."

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including former District Governor Lion C Hemant Kumar, Mrs. Prabhamurthy, club office bearers, and a large contingent of Lions members.
