Focus and Thrust to identify potential and promising Table Tennis players in schools and colleges" - Raksha Ramaiah, President, Table Tennis Association

Bengaluru, October 14: Top priority will be given to Table Tennis in order to identify potential and promising players to participate in National Games and Asian Games. 

A decision to that effect was taken in the Annual General Meeting of the Table Tennis Association of Karnataka which met under the Presidentship of Raksha Ramaiah, President TTA and National General Secretary of Youth Congress here on Saturday. 

Raksha Ramaiah said there is a bright future and tremendous scope for the game of Table Tennis and the focus should be to identify potential and promising players. 

"The quality of selection must be made in such a way that the players must be able to participate and compete in National and Asian Games," Raksha Ramaiah added. 

He also said that Table Tennis tournaments will be conducted in the district and taluk level in order to recognize talented youths. 

According to Raksha Ramaiah, a memorandum will be submitted to Karnataka Olympic Association requesting to give priority to the game of Table Tennis. 

Working President Ramesh Shastry, Vice Presidents Rohith R, Shivakumar, M.K.Gautham Shetty, Vadiraj S. Kati, R. K. Jayachandra Rao, Secretary K. R. Manjunath, Joint Secretaries Ravi Kumar S Nayak, G. A. Ambekar, Tahir Sanadi, Treasurer Sangam Shyam and Advertisement Executive Committee member Gunalan were present in the meeting.
