Bangalore, Sep, 22;.A Dalit organisation, has been accused of misusing the SC/ST Atrocities Act to dupe elderly people of an innocent Brahmin family and grab six acres of land owned by them. The Swabhimani Dalit Federation Samiti has demanded legal action against B.R Muniraju.
For the past three months, they have been threatening 78-year-old Arun Kumar Sabu and 90-year-old Jeeva Vijay Kumar Sabu and have been constantly threatening them to hand over possession of the land to us. In addition, he held a tamate agitation near the farm. He has created an atmosphere of fear by saying that he will install a statue of Dr B R Ambedkar. It alleged that senior citizens were "deeply disturbed" and "disoriented".
Speaking at a press meet, Swabhimani Dalit Federation Samiti State President M. Linganna said that The brothers bought a total of six acres of land 31 years ago near Hesar Gatta. B.R. Muniraju said that he was harassing him with the malafide intention of grabbing half the land or extorting crores of rupees.
