Bengaluru: More than 150 old students of Government High School, Police Colony, Magadi Road, Bengaluru jointly launched a mega drive to identify and encourage hidden talents in students.

This mega ‘Talent Hunt ‘event was organised under the aegis of ART OF GIVING in association with the E-Narada, 12.12.12 School Group, and alumni associations.

“Achyuta Samanta, Member of Parliament, Founder of KIIT & KISS and ART OF GIVING is uplifting lakhs of poorest of the poor tribal children through free education, accommodation, food and healthcare. Taking inspiration from his work, we the old students of Government school, launched a mega drive to encourage hidden talents in school students,” said Mamatha N Swamy, a 1985 batch student.

The students completing schooling in Government High School, Hegganahalli and presently studying in college, presented a mesmerised dance performance for the song ‘Vrundavana Devi Namo Namo’ by Sri Purandara Dasaru. Hemalatha H V, the dance teacher at Karnataka Public School, hegganahalli, did the choreography.

The retired teachers Yogalakshmi T, Subbalakshmi R.S., Manjula K.S., Vasanthakumari, Lakshmi P A, C Lakshmi, Ranganath, and the present Headmistress Malini were felicitated on the occasion.
