On the occasion of International Day for the differently-abled, Orion Uptown Mall, Whitefield in association with Kalpavriksha and Art Sanctuary organized ‘VARATA’, a talent show for the specially-abled. Participants took part in singing, dancing, asanas, musical instrumental performances and live painting. The vision of Varata is to provide a platform wherein the specially-abled can showcase their skills.

“Varata means being a blessing, and this talent show is organised to fuel the passion of the specially-abled and encourage them to build their self-confidence. We want them to feel that they are blessed with talents that they can be proud of. It is an image boosting event for them and we at Orion Uptown Mall consider it as a blessing to be able to create Varata as a unique property for the specially-abled. The Chief Guests for the event were Mrs Rita Janes, Founder and Principal, Asha Kiran Special Needs School and Mr Rupesh – Founder & Artistic Director – Arangam – Rupesh’s Institute of Arts. Dr Aravind Shenoy – Pediatrist and Dr Praveen Shenoy – Gynaecologist – One of the founding members of Cloudnine Hospital will be guests of honour.
